About Sussex Fireplace Restoration
Our antique fireplace restoration company was established in London in 1989, during which time we acquired the contract to provide Chesney's, the UK's leading luxury fireplace supplier, with an on-site restoration and troubleshooting team.
Some of the most prestigious projects we have worked on include providing restoration services to the Bedford Estate, owned by the family who possess the peerage of the Duke of Bedford, for whom we refurbished many properties in and around Bedford Square in the Central London district of Bloomsbury.
Bedford Square is one of the best preserved pieces of Georgian architecture in London and many of the houses are listed as Grade 1 on the Historic England (formerly English Heritage) National Heritage List.
We were also employed by the Grosvenor Estates in the West London districts of Belgravia and Pimlico, for whom we refurbished many properties in Eaton Square, where the present Duke of Westminster has his London home.
Another prominent employer was the Crown Estate, for whom we worked on many projects, including the residence of HRH the Prince of Wales.
We re-located to East Sussex in 2006, from where we now provide professional fireplace restoration services across South East England, drawing on our extensive experience of more than 25 years. We specialise in Historic England projects throughout London and the southeast.
